The King Comm – The Ecom Royal Blueprint
Who is King Comm?
Here’s a Youtuber with quite the following. As of this writing he’s got almost 64K subs and growing. He’s King Comm also known as Chris Waller.
His channel is not even a year old yet and he’s amassed quite the following. Pretty impressive as a lot of other Youtuber’s i’ve reviewed can’t get those numbers even in a longer period of time. The Royal Blueprint
The Royal Blueprint blueprint according to KingComm was born from comparing courses from ecom gurus like Sebastian Ghiorghui, Kevin David, Arie Scherson, Gabriel St-Germain and so on. He says he took all the ideas from these ecom guru’s and made it better than all of them combined. The Royal Blueprint
Personally I think these claims are subjective and common sense will tell you that this is part of a sales pitch and guru-bashing to make you think he’s the king of ecom – no pun intended.
Anyway, one thing that does seem to be different from a lot of other courses is that he created a store as a case study for the course. Every detail of creating the store was documented in video so you’ll be able to see the entire setup process including the ads that were created.
Now, please don’t buy the course and think that you can copy everything he did and be successful. Chances are the product no longer sells well and is over-saturated. The Royal Blueprint
On That Note, Let’s Dive Into the Modules.
There’s just 4 modules in the course with around 60 videos and a bonus section with some docs. To me that does not seem like a lot. I do hope the content in each video makes up for it.
Module 1 – A to Z Outline
After a brief introduction into the course, Chris gets into his A to Z outline. This is all about starting your store from ground zero where you start thinking about a product to sell. The Royal Blueprint
He does seem to prefer single product stores and recommends that your domain name matches your product. With this method you’ll probably have to create a lot of stores before finding a winner.
Other videos include topics like setting up your backend, writing compelling ad copy, creating videos, setting up your Facebook page, setting up your ad and test new creatives, kill or scale and so on.
Other videos get into statistics analysis and how to ensure you stay profitable. The Royal Blueprint
Module 2 – Filling in The Gaps The Royal Blueprint
This section doesn’t seem to take any direction in particular. It has a Youtube channel feel with a mish mash of videos ranging from topics like how to get a free logo, getting Stripe as a payment processor, a video on whether or not dropshipping is going to die or not, apps that you need on your store, choosing your color scheme and so on.
It does become a little more linear by getting into product research. Here you will learn his “blueprint” on product selection. It’s definitely “borrowed” from the other guys as it’s all too familiar. AliExpress product research, the product + Shopify research method, Ecom Hunt product research and Alishark are all discussed. The Royal Blueprint
Again, with the exception of the product research methods this module is a collection of very different topics all mashed into one module. I assume that’s the reason for the generic title. Finally, you’ll get videos on topics like when you should get an LLC, delivering good customer service, bulk order fullfilment and how to price your products.
Module 3 – Case Study The Royal Blueprint
The module you’ve been waiting for. This is the much-hyped case study of how he set up a store and made sales from it.
As I’ve said in many of my blog posts never buy into a course just because a guru is going to reveal a product he made a shit ton of money on. No one in their right mind would do this if it’s still making money. If it’s revealed – it’s already dead. Remember that.
The module starts off by showing him on AliExpress looking for a product, then choosing the niche, finding a free logo, setting up the store and essential pages followed by some apps. All basic stuff you can find on Youtube for free. These videos cover a good portion of the case study you came for.
You’ll have to wait a few videos later for the goods. In one video he shows you how he scaled up to 14K in one day.
This module will come in handy if you want to set up a store and show you what is possible. Newbies will definitely benefit if you’ve always wondered how to set up your own store on Shopify. The Royal Blueprint
Module 4 – Bonuses
Module 4 includes some bonuses from the course which could come in handy for your dropshipping business. They include:
- An ePacket Countries List
- Return on Ad Spend Case Study
- $1 M ad Spend with 4x ROAS
- Automatic Comment Moderation
I think Chris aka KingComm is a brilliant salesperson and really knows how to connect with his audience. His arguments on his channel are convincing and does a great job on selling his brand.
The fact that he has so many subscribers in such a short period of time is testament to this. He knows how to reel in his audience with compelling content and delivery. I just wish he’d back off the bashing of his competition as I think that will hurt him in the long run.
As for his course, the hype that he sells makes you think you’re getting a killer course. I wouldn’t say it sucks, quite the opposite. It’s great for a newbie wanting to get into ecom and especially if you have ADHD you’ll appreciate the random mishmashyness of the videos in the course. Some intermediates may benefit from some tidbits here and there.
